I am writing to express my deepest condolences on the passing of your School's Founding and Honorary Dean, Professor Li Yining.

Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing him personally. I understand that Professor Li was a highly respected figure throughout China. His role and impact as Founding Dean of the Guanghua School of Management no doubt contributed to the international reputation of the School and the high esteem to which it is held by us all today. Having an impact beyond academia, in a way that contributes to the economy and society is a true testament to one's impact. I am a strong believer that research knowledge should contribute to economic benefits and reform in a country and Professor Li was able to achieve that goal.

Whilst we will miss him greatly, I believe his legacy will live on through the profound influences that he had upon your School and the nation of China. I hope that we can all honor his memory by continuing to strengthen our partnership and explore deeper international cooperation that he instilled and championed in Guanghua School of Management as you mentioned in your email.
